What you'll do at Cascade:

How you'll do it:

  • Partnering with Data Analysts, ETL Developers and Data Architects to obtain the needed specifications to build data structures needed to maintain data throughout its life-cycle. This will be for both new efforts as well as maintenance.
  • Providing the necessary documentation associated with the developed and maintaining databases and structures to satisfy all company, IT and Data Governance policies, procedures, standards, practices, and guidelines.
  • Ensuring that the databases to support the processing environment and the supporting data structures are maintained to ensure optimum system performance and the ability to meet business processing requirements.
  • Assisting in the collaboration between analysts, developers, system owners, quality assurance, business process owners, and data governance in the testing of new and changed data structures.
  • Assisting Project Management staff in defining, scoping the data management
  • Keeping current with the technologies that have potential impact on company information processes, identifies opportunities and make recommendations for changes and/or additions to the data administrator's toolbox, including changes in best practice and methodologies.
  • Installing, testing, Upgrading, & Maintaining Databases, and data consumption/ETL processes software on enterprise level operating systems and applications. 
  • Analyzing & Resolving enterprise database problems.

 

What you'll need to join Cascade:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business, Economics or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience as a Production DBA, experience administering MSSL 2008, 2008r2, 2014 and 2016 with Standard or Enterprise versions.
  • Experience with technologies and skills:

AOHAG, SSIS, SSRS, backup and recovery, ensuring data integrity, Performance management and tuning, Ensuring availability, SQL code reviews, Procedural skills, Data security, Capacity planning, General database management, AWS and or Azure expertise.

 

  • Demonstrated relational database administration skills in an enterprise environment.
  • Experience and knowledge of the Project Management life-cycle.
  • Understanding of various computing environments (Mainframe/Client-Server/Internet/Cloud).
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, and perform in an environment that can be ambiguous and time-sensitive.
  • Ability to write, edit, and correct ad-hoc TSQL.
