Job Purpose:

The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for completing payments by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.



  • Review vendor invoices for accuracy.
  • Contact new vendors to obtain a W9 form when needed.
  • Verify and post AP transactions into the accounting system.
  • Follow up with vendors and/or employees to gather additional information when necessary.
  • Provide support to Accounting department.
  • Other duties as necessary.


Knowledge & Experience:

  • Attention to detail, as demonstrated by regularly verifying all work thoroughly to ensure accuracy.
  • Ability to think and work in a methodical and logical way as demonstrated by arranging and prioritizing work duties.
  • Knowledge of general accounting principles.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Minimum of one year experience in an Accounts Payable role.

  • Ability to work as a team member and follow directions is mandatory.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients and employees to create a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Ability to adjust easily to work situations based on employee, group, or business needs.
